When you walk in the door or Meadows, the smells of real food await.  You can tell when something is about to come out of the oven or when fresh peaches & melons have been delivered.  Often the cheeses compete with garlic and onions much to the horror of many of our youngest customers.

We select everything we sell ourselves and are proud to call many of our suppliers our friends.  Whether they are only just discovered or stem from further back to good old days of market trading side-by-side in Borough Market, the partnerships we build with our suppliers are an integral part of our business. We hope that we can communicate how wonderful they are and that you will get to know them too.  The food they bring us is all delicious so please try something new next time you visit.

We have daily deliveries of fresh sourdough bread from a local baker.  We receive regular deliveries of sustainably sourced fruit & vegetables. We select the best organic and local veg we can find as well as some seasonal treats direct from France & Italy.

With 20 years experience cheesemonger & owner, Suzannah has carefully sourced our range of quality artisanal cheeses that has gained Meadows a reputation as a go-to place for cheese.  We also have a love of wine and stock a selection of low intervention and sustainable wines that are made by small producers.

We have a busy kitchen and a skilled professional team making our homemade cakes, cookies and freshly prepared lunch options including healthy soups and salads that make the most of the fantastic produce we have available. The shop is our larder and the majority of our extra ingredients are either certified organic or we know them to be organic in practice.
