About the Event
Since we opened, we,ve been thinking that we'd like to use the kitchen space at the back of the shop to host our community for a social cookery events. Earlier this year we were prompted to take action for the #cookforukraine campaign and the Cambridge Food & Climate Festival gives us another perfect opportunity.
Cambridge Food & Climate Festival runs from 15th-22nd October and is set to be a delicious feast of sustainable food events and activities across the city. We are rolling up our sleeves and getting stuck in. We'll open our kitchen and work together to use surplus ingredients to prepare meals that will then be distributed among local community food hubs and community fridges. We will share a portion of what we make with everyone that attends to eat together or take home afterwards. Please come and bring unopened, vegetarian, surplus ingredients and chopping skills!
Please register as spaces are limited. Cambridge Sustainable Food does fantastic work to coordinate local food organisations that support the Cambridge community with donations of food, time and effort in order to make good healthy food more accessbile in our city. There is an option to make a donation to their Cost of Living Appeal when you register.
This event is free, we'd just like some idea of numbers.
