About the Event
Meadows has become well known for cheese and we are really proud of our selection which is a collection of personal favourites all handmade by small producers across the UK and Europe.
Join Suzannah, owner of Meadows and our lead cheesemonger, for a cheese appreciation class. This month, we will taste a selection of British cheeses to discover the traditional recipes that have always been so alongside the more modern varieties that have happened by the cheesemakers design.
Cheese is a broad subject and it is easy to go off topic but the plan will be to explore the following:
- the traditional styles of British cheese and how they fit with the historic timelines
- the new wave of British cheesemaking. How it came about and what modern recipes have been developed
The class will include a tutored tasting of 5 cheeses served with bread and crackers. A welcome drink is included.
This is a seated tasting event with a communal table. Due to the nature of this tasting, we cannot cater for specific dietary requirements but we can provide gluten-free crackers. Note that we will taste cheeses made with unpasteurised milk and/or traditional animal rennet.
LIMITED SPACES - Please book a space as soon as possible.
If you would like us to host a private tasting for you at home, at work or for a social occasion please do get in touch firstname.lastname@example.org
