About the Event

Meadows has become well known for cheese and we are really proud of our selection which is a collection of personal favourites all handmade by small producers across the UK and Europe.

Join Suzannah, owner of Meadows and our lead cheesemonger, for a tutored cheese tasting.  This month, we will taste a selection of cheeses for Summer including fresh, summery cheeses as well as aged cheeses that taste great at this time of year.  In this tasting we highlight some of our favourite goat's and sheep's milk cheeses.

Cheese is a broad subject and it is easy to go off topic but the plan will be to explore the following:

  • the cheese recipes most associated with Summer
  • is there such a thing as seasonality in cheese
  • an emphasis on sheep and goat's milk recipes

The class will include a tutored tasting of 5 cheeses served with bread and crackers.  A welcome drink is included.

This is a seated tasting event with a communal table.  Due to the nature of this tasting, we cannot cater for specific dietary requirements but we can provide gluten-free crackers.  Note that we will taste cheeses made with unpasteurised milk and/or traditional animal rennet.

LIMITED SPACES - Please book a space as soon as possible.

If you would like us to host a private tasting for you at home, at work or for a social occasion please do get in touch suzannah@meadowscambridge.com
