About the Event
We are delighted to welcome Florian Bruneau winemaker at Domaine La Lauzeta to guide us through a tasting of wines from the Domaine.
In 2015, Tom Hills bought two vineyards on the schist soils of Saint-Nazaire-de-Ladarez, in the Saint-Chinian region of the Languedoc, 45 minutes’ drive from Béziers. He combined them to create Domaine La Lauzeta, and immediately began organic conversion. La Lauzeta has quickly gained recognition, earning plaudits from such wine luminaries as Jancis Robinson, Jeb Dunnuck and Tamlyn Currin, and the wines are listed at 17 Michelin starred restaurants in Paris.
The estate is overseen by Florian Bruneau, a young Norman, who is passionate about sustainability, organics, biodynamics and low intervention winemaking as well as being a very talented winemaker. He has worked all around the world in his short but impressive career to date - including Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Corsica, Barossa Valley and Napa Valley.
We will host Florian with the team from Substrata Wines in Norwich who import into the UK. We will taste 6 wines including the newly released Domaine La Lauzeta, Corteza blanc 2022 and Domaine La Lauzeta, Saint-Chinian La Lauzeta 2016, the estate’s top wine.
Meadows will provide a selection of cheeses and other nibbles to accompany the wines.
LIMITED SPACES - Please book a space as soon as possible.
